At Molina Montessori we want all students to grow and develop in a safe and caring environment. The following conduct policies apply to each child and will be used to determine if a child should continue to participate in the Molina Montessori program. Based on the severity of the infraction and the amount of recurring incidents a child may – lose the privilege of participating in a specific activity, be suspended from the program, or be terminated from the program. Unacceptable behavior includes:
Using foul language, defacing or stealing from the Molina Montessori property, engaging in fighting, refusing to follow safety rules and instructions, biting or hurting other children, leaving or trying to leave the premises without permission.
Parent meetings will be arranged to discuss student behavior if incidents are recurring regularly.
Our goal is to help students develop socially and emotionally while learning and playing with others. We will use positive reinforcement, redirection, explanation of why the behaviors are unacceptable, and time-out if needed. At no time will physical discipline ever be used.
Parent communication will most often happen through the HiMama app. You will need to download the app from the app store to your phone. This will keep you up with everyday center information. You can also send messages to your child’s teacher through this app. You will receive information on how to link your app with Molina Montessori before your child begins school. This app is how you will sign your child in and out of school each day.
